Welcome To Our 2009 Cycling Season
Seattle LUNA Chix road cycling team is a group of everyday women, who represent LUNA as an inspirational brand that supports women in sports. We love to ride our bikes and we’re passionate about encouraging women of all ages and ability levels to master new skills, set personal goals and gain new confidences.
We ride in a non-competitive environment; knowing that everyone needs to ride within their own comfort zone. We are not a race team, but a team that has volunteered our time to ride with other women interested in cycling. We offer free weekly rides, which are held at various times and in various locations throughout the greater Seattle/Eastside area. We offer clinics and host events throughout the season that are relevant to women and cycling. Check out our Calendar, to see what rides, clinics and events are coming up! We support and raise money for the Breast Cancer Fund, a non-profit that seeks to identify and eliminate environmental and other causes of this disease. Be ready to have fun, to laugh, to inspire each other to get outside and play. Together we can make a difference. Wednesday rides start at 6:30 pm Saturday rides start at 9:00 am (Saturday rides will progress in length as we train for our last team ride. We will be participating in the “Cycle The Wave” ride September 20th.) We welcome all levels of riders and will divide into groups depending on rider turnout. No rider left behind. Our rides require : Bike in safe working condition Wear an CPSC, Snell, ASTM or ASNI approved helmet Carry a spare tube, tire levers, pump, patch kit Carry a portable bike pump or cartridge Bring a water bottle or camelbak Team Ride Guidelines! Join our group discussion, to hear more about what we are doing! |
