Weighing the Evidence on Exercise - from the New York Times

I found the attached New York Times article interesting on several levels. We’ve all heard that diet alone will not result in sustained weight lose, but it also appears that exercise alone may result in little to no weight loss, even if the exercise is intense. BUT sustained exercise does play a pivotal role in keeping weight off for the long term. The article also explains why weight loss is often so much harder for women then it is for men Bottom line: Don’t rely solely on exercise to lose weight - but don’t expect keep weight off unless you combine a sensible, nutritious diet with expertise. All the more reason to “Get out and play”!
