LUNA CHIX PRO TEAM

Pro Team Race Reports
What to wear, what to wear…
Winter is almost upon us. And if you're like the LUNA Pros, you probably don't plan on packing up your bike and gear for the winter. Why sabotage your spring time fun rides with an extra 5 or 10 pounds of insulation?

We are often intimidated by the task of choosing our ride outfits (especially in the winter, when it actually requires thought). So we've asked a few of our well-dressed pros and ambassadors what they wear before their cool weather training and fun rides.

You know what they all chose? LUNA Sport Apparel

Here's what they suggest:

Pro Triathlete Terra Castro loves this LUNA Sport outfit:

Pro Team Jersey (the race cut genesis of our popular Stripe design)
Pro Team Shorts (LUNA’s Italian T.S.F.™ fabric and Tranquility™ Base chamois)
Arm Warmers (90% recycled polyester, 10% spandex)
Dellie's Vest (ultra-compactible and breathable)
Leg Warmers (a great set of leg warmers is absolutely essential)
Long Finger Team Gloves (Just the right amount of gel padding in the right places to dampen vibration)

LUNA local Ambassador Karen Rehder prefers to mix up her mildly cool Bay Area mountain bike rides with this:

Stripe Jersey (racy color-blocked center stripe with contrast-color cuffs)
Dellie's Jacket (ultra-compactible and breathable)
Epiphany knickers (10-panel sensation in the most drop-dead gorgeous Swiss fabric ever)
Long Finger Team Gloves (generous and soft wiping surface)

For all her road riding needs in the San Francisco fog, former pro athlete Kerry Barnholt pulls on this outfit:

Eclipse Short Sleeve (beautiful, medium-weight four-way stretch fabric)
Printed Arm Warmers (adorned with printed Japanese wood block prints)
Epiphany Shorts (flat waistband distributes pressure over a wider area)
Bees Knees Warmers (keeps bees knees warm)

For blustery training days in Canada (sorry, couldn't catch her with the camera), here is what our World Cup Champion "Kika" Pendrel pulls on :

LUNA Sport Baseline Long Sleeve (this 100% Merino wool long-sleeve crew is the perfect primary layer when the weather suits).
Eclipse Long Sleeve (beautiful, medium-weight four-way stretch fabric and textured back panel for temperature regulation)
Dellie's Jacket (keeps the cold and rain at bay in all but the most extreme conditions)
Valtellina Pro Shorts (The Italian-sourced chamois assures all-day comfort and eliminate chaffing. )
Long Finger Team Gloves (Just the right amount of gel padding in the right places to dampen vibration)
