Just in from Teal Stetson Lee:
"The Saturday Colorado Cross Cup was a great day of racing for me. I felt strong and composed and managed to finish 2nd behind Georgia. I was of course chasing Georgia for the duration of the race and I watched her put on her intimidation tactics, hammering in her drops as we would pass each other on the course going opposite directions, even as her gap on me was growing to over a minute. It's one of those things you have to face as the rookie on the team. I was still able to ride smart and overtake the other riders. The sections of the course that helped ensure my lead was smooth riding through the long sand pit, as well as bunny-hopping a couple log barriers. Both of these obstacles were great for technical skill practice and were a huge advantage if they could be ridden well."

Georgia Gould: "Mission Accomplished"

Again, here is the inside scoop from Teal Stetson Lee:

"On Sunday (at the Boulder Cup), I had big plans for another strong race. I started with the lead group and we stuck together for the whole first lap. Unfortunately, by the second lap, I started to develop a painful ache in my left knee. As I continued to pedal and run up the stairs lap after lap, the pain progressively increased significantly. I managed to hang in there to the end and did my best to put on a good show, but I have big plans to be carefully nurturing myself this week. The course was still fantastic and the spectators were vey supportive and helped motivate me to keep it together, that's the reason why racing can be such a wonderful interactive experience. Whether you are the racer or not, you're always a positive part of it."
