Georgia Gould Wins Double Header UCI Cross Race!
Due to the logistics of travel, Georgia only had one bike for the mud fest at Granogue. That didn't slow her down as she decimated the women's field for her first UCI cross victory. Sunday's course was much drier, but the results were the same. Georgia won again by over a minute, racking up valuable UCI points that determine one's start position at the World Championships.
Alison Dunlap was also racing in Colorado, winning both days against a tough women's field. "Even though there were no UCI points to be had, I got to race in 82 degree weather without a cloud in the sky!"
Georgia and Alison will join Katerina Nash this weekend in Louisville, KY for the next round of the US Gran Prix cyclocross series. Shonny Vanlandingham and Danelle Kabush will also be competing at the XTERRA World Championships in Maui, Hawaii. Busy weekend! Stay tuned for results.
