Pro Team Race Reports
Longmont, CO got hammered last Wednesday and Thursday with almost two feet of snow. Thanks to the warm sunshine on Friday, the snow was almost all melted by race day. Unfortunately that created a wet sloppy cyclocross race.
Katerina Nash rode aggressively but couldn't counter the 1-2 punch of Daphny van den Brand and Marianne Voss from the Netherlands. Helen Wyman of Great Britain was able to jump away from Katerina on the last lap for the final podium spot. Katerina will race in the World Cup this coming weekend.
Katerina Nash powered away from an elite field of women to win both days of the third round in the Verge New England Championship Cyclo-Cross Series in Providence, Rhode Island. It was her first national win of the 2009 season. Way to go!
Under the bright lights of the Las Vegas electrical grid, Katerina Nash and Georgia Gould finished 2nd and 3rd in this fast paced, action packed, cyclocross race during the Interbike Trade Show.
