Georgia Gould will start her off-season a bit early.  Much to the dismay of thousands of frenzied Oregonian ‘cross fans, she will miss the National Championships in Bend.  Look for Georgia’s smiling, and well-rested face next year when the mountain bike season kicks off.  About her early off-season, here’s what Georgia has to say:

“After a long season racing mountain bikes and cyclocross, I have decided to start my off-season a little early.  It’s been a tough decision because I love racing ‘cross, and I don’t want to miss out on any races (especially really good races like the USGPs).  However, at this point in the season, I think I will be better served by taking a break, enjoying some down time and getting ready for the next mountain bike season.  My teammates Katerina and Alison are more than capable of picking up the slack.”
