If you haven’t yet heard through facebook, e-mail, or good ole fashioned word of mouth, I’m expecting baby # 2 at the end of May! And it is starting to feel quite real now at just about the 4 month mark as my belly is starting to resemble all those Santa bellies out there like the one my daughter Zoe had her picture taken with this morning at the mall! That is aside from the other general discomforts of pregnancy up until this point such as feeling sick, tired, and overly emotional with every cheesy Christmas commercial or movie I’ve seen on TV lately!

Coming into Maui this year I must admit I wasn’t quite feeling the same form as a year ago and had been having some on and off workouts, however the week leading into the race I was feeling pretty good and hoping the legs would be there come race day.

Here we are at the end of July with eight Xterra Cup series races completed. The overall series will determined at the with the final race of the points series being the U.S. Xterra Championship to be held September 26th in Ogden, Utah

While it was snowing back home in Calgary this past Saturday (yes, even in June it can happen!) my family and I were just a 7.5h drive south in ideal race temperatures for the Xterra Northwest Cup in Farragut State Park just north of Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.
