A humbling experience The day before Star Crossed, Jonathan Page and myself ran a free cyclocross clinic on the race course. The first Team LUNA Chix clinic I went to was in 2002 or 2003 in my hometown of Boulder, CO. I just finished up clinic #5 (or 6 or 7, I can’t keep track of these things) except now I’m a clinic instructor and doing my best to communicate the basics of mountain biking which I’m still trying to figure out myself. On May 20th each year, cyclists across the globe gather to ride in silence to honor those fallen on our roadways. I experienced my first Ride of Silence as I joined in with hundreds of Tucson cyclists this evening in a 9-mile loop around the city. |
