Recovery is a key element to add to your training plan.
It is a recovery week here in Austin, Texas for this LUNA chix.  After 3 weeks of specific Ironman training and one Olympic distance training race- I have a light week in front of me. When I see a recovery week on my schedule in Trainingpeaks (my online training log) I admit I do a little jig and I believe my dog,Igby, starts to smile. Recovery weeks mean 1) lots of sleep- 9 to 9.5 hrs a night plus a nap each day 2) A chance to read, watch movies and date nights with the super coach hubby and 3) A few trips to the local dog park so Igby can get in some training.
