Why I Love Months with 5 Mondays!
A privately owned property near Troy, NY whose owners are kind enough to welcome our ride, Gibbs Farm is a wonderful location for an evening’s biking. With enough technicality and climbing to challenge the intermediate/advanced rider and flowing single track sections to satisfy biking beginners, it was the ideal place to break up our ride routine. With our ride turnout well in the teens, we split immediately into two groups so that everyone within the group was offered a pace comfortable for their skill set. Thus divided we entered the trails to ride the hour to an hour and half loop. Our legs were quickly woken up as the trails have a good bit of climbing and descending! I had a particularly challenging time since my feet decided to weld themselves to my clipless pedals! I made friends with more trees and rocks then I care to mention! The trails continued along a similar vein and the weather was kind enough to stay warm and clear for the full ride for a change! With small groups allowing a fun pace for everyone and the opportunity to chat with the other people on the ride it was a great evening for all! Too bad every month doesn’t have five Mondays!
