Launched in 2004, the Iron Girl Series has grown to 12 events nationwide ranging from 5K and10K running races to duathlon and triathlon events. The Iron Girl event experience provides women with a competitive platform and amenities such as: a post-race catered Breakfast Café, performance shirts sized just for women, IPICO Sports Timing, personalized race bibs, custom finisher medals, post-race giveaways and much more.
Last year the Madison LUNA Chix represented at the Bloomington, MN Irongirl Duathlon. We hope to be at the triathlon this year. This should be a great beginner event, with an 800 Meter Swim, 30K Bike, and 5K Run in a beautiful venue on the shores of Lake Michigan.
