Beautiful Day for a Ride
After days of scorching heat, and humidity the weather cooled to a pleasant 70+ degrees the morning of Saturday, July 9th. It was sunny and clear in Pasadena, just a picture perfect day to ride. I rode from my house, with Honored Teammate Sue Lafferty and her man Tom to the Brookside cafe at the Rose Bowl to watch the 8th stage of the Tour de France. What a great way to get motivated to ride! Then we peddled over to the Rose Bowl Acquatics Center to meet up with the rest of the group. It was great to see Jeannette, Cherly, and Mary Anne come out for another ride, and to have Gail, Liz and Danielle joining us for the first time. LUNA Chix Rita, and I lead the group of 7 on a 26 mile ride starting with a warm up lap around the Rose Bowl, up the hills in Flintridge, and then a tour of South Pasadena, and San Marino and then back to the Rose Bowl. It was a wonderful way to spend the morning. COMMENTS |
