Fav sports gear: New fav is a visor. As a long time lover of a certain yellow cap I would have never thought a visor would rise to the top of my list.
Been doing triathlons since: Last fall. One down and many more to come.
Best experience on the team: The Fredrick Women's Tri. It was a team race and my first tri. I was a wee-bit anxious about the swim and had wished and hoped that no one would see me swim. Not the case- whole team freaking out at the end of my lane. I felt like the real deal!
Goal for 2013: Buy and use a one piece suit.
Fav Luna Bar Flavor: Peanut Butter Strawberry Fiber
Fav Race: Savageman - hands down the best I've done, but Columbia Tri is the one I make room for in my schedule every year
I've Been Doing Triathlons Since: 1996
Fav Tri Gear: My bike seat. Riding for hours without walking like a cowboy for days is priceless.
Best Tri Advice I've Ever Received: Learn to breathe every three strokes on the swim. It helps you go straight.
Number of Years on the Team: 5
Goal for 2013: Stop being so hard on myself; while I do want to continue to improve this season, I also want to more appreciate the gift that is the ability to participate and compete in a sport I love.
Favorite Luna Bar: Toss up between Lemon Zest and Chocolate cherry almond protein bar
Favorite Race: Irongirl Columbia. It was my first triathlon after a long hiatus, and all of the powerful energy and support keeps me coming back every year.
Years I have been doing triathlons: First one was a sprint in 1998...a long hiatus with moving and kids...came back in 2008 and loving it!
Favorite sports gear: heart rate monitor/gps watch...it keeps me honest.
Years on team: 2nd year on the team
Goals for 2013: Redemption at IMWI..to ride the course without having multiple flats and race injury free! Looking forward to training with the team and getting fellow women into the sport!
Fav Luna Bar Flavor: Peanut Honey Pretzel
Fav Race: Savageman Triathlon
I've Been Doing Triathlons Since: 1997
Fav Tri Gear: Not really tri gear, but I love, love, love training with my swim snorkel!
Best Tri Advice I've Ever Received: When you're racing, you'll probably come to a point where you ask yourself why you are doing this. Have the answer prepared ahead of time!
Number of Years on the Team: 7
Goal for 2013: We had another baby on March 4th so my only goals for this year are to stay fit prior to his/her arrival and then get back in shape as best I can while adjusting to life with two kids!
Fav Luna Bar Flavor: Chocolate Dipped Coconut
Fav Race:Savageman!
I've Been Doing Triathlons Since:2005
Fav Tri Gear: I love my bikes. Yes plural. I love my road bike bike, my tri bike and my mountain bike. And before you think this is excessive - my car is worth about $2500. It's about priorities!.

__._,_.___
Fav Luna Bar Flavor: Lemon Zest
Fav Race: Giant Acorn
I've Been Doing Triathlons Since: 2008
Fav Tri Gear: My Syracuse Bike Jersey. There's nothing better than showing off your school colors.
Best Tri Advice I've Ever Received: Relax in the water. You will not drown.
Number of Years on the Team:3
Goal for 2013: Make time for myself and for training. The best way to end a stressful day is with a bike ride or a few laps in the pool
Fav Luna Bar Flavor: Nutz Over Chocolate – it tastes like a candy bar!
Fav Race: Savageman – savage and so much fun after you complete it. If you don't know this race, look it up! It's an insanely fun challenge. There's a portion of the race with a 31% grade. If you make it up without falling (they have people stationed to help catch you) or unclipping you get a brick laid in the wall of a road with your name of it. And of course there's the rest of the race with KILLER hills. So much fun! It pushes you to your limits.
I've Been Doing Triathlons Since: 1994 when two friends told me about a tri they were doing that weekend. I signed up and was immediately hooked!
Fav Tri Gear: Glide. It just makes everything happier! However I learned (embarrassingly) that if you have a tendency towards athletes foot… don’t use the same stick of glide on your armpits!
Best Tri Advice I've Ever Received: Actually do brick workouts… go for a run after a bike ride. Even if it’s a short (10 minute) run it’ll help with those rubbery-feeling-legs at the beginning of your run.
Number of Years on the Team: 2
Goal for 2013: Since I’ll be having a baby in the middle of this year’s season… my goal is to keep up my training as much as I can before the baby comes and then actually get back on board afterwards! I think I’ll shoot for a tri before the end of the season.
Fav Luna Bar flavor: Peanut Butter Strawberry Fiber - I need to remember not to eat too many in one day!
Fav Race: My favorite nostalgic race is my first tri - Iron Girl Columbia 2008. I was so proud to be finishing that I got choked up crossing the finish line and almost passed out because I couldn't breathe!
My favorite race since then was the Assateague Tri. Wonderful, small, race, where we got to camp on the beach the night before, and the run took us right by our campsite. LOVED it.
I've been doing triathlons since: 2008
Fav Tri Gear: Race Belt! So simple, yet so genius. No more fumbling with safety pins!
Best Tri Advice I've Ever Received: Nothing new on race day!
Number of years on the team: 2013 is my third year as a Luna Chick :-D
Goal for 2013: Train more consistently so that I am actually prepared for some races instead of just winging it.
