DC Triathlon TEAM

LUNA Chix Local Teams bring together women interested in learning new sports, staying active and inspiring others to do the same.

We were formed in 2007 as a group of women triathletes looking for opportunities to exercise and share a healthy lifestyle with other women. We are encouraging women in the DC area to Get Out And Play and support awareness of environmental factors that cause breast cancer through our partnership with the Breast Cancer Fund (BCF). As a Team, we are dedicated to building a Luna community in the DC area!

2010 Watchung Trail Marathon

The Watchung Trail Marathon confirmed my notion that low key races are the best kind of races for me. I like races that don’t require a ton of effort just getting to get to the start line. The best races offer quick registrations with no lines, no chips, no bibs, no t-shirts and a guy at the start line who yells, “Set, Go!”
