The nationals count down is on. Less than 24hrs. After the BC Bike race I wasn’t sure how my body would be feeling, but am pleasantly surprised that it feels pretty normal. I just want to sleep a lot more!
Keith and I flew to my home province of New Brunswick on Monday and borrowd my parents truck and camper to drive up to Quebec. The race is 4hrs north of Quebec on Lac St Jean in the small community of Ste Felicien. The course here is great. It is really fun with lot of rocks and roots. Wildlife sightings this week have also been abundant. Within 1hr of arriving in NB I saw a porcupine, a baby bunny and a Luna moth…must be a good omen. On the drive to Quebec we saw a black bear, a mother duck and babies crossing the highway and a fox. Maybe it’s the full moon.
Waldek joined us thursday night and my parents arrive tonight so it’s promising to be a nice weekend. I even got to try frog legs last night…yes they do taste like chicken.
