The first Team LUNA Chix clinic I went to was in 2002 or 2003 in my hometown of Boulder, CO. I just finished up clinic #5 (or 6 or 7, I can’t keep track of these things) except now I’m an instructor and doing my best to communicate the basics of mountain biking. I was a LUNA Chix wanna-be during my junior racing days. I had the jersey, went to the clinics, LUNA FEST, and ate way too many Lemon Zest LUNA bars. So I’m thrilled to see the Boulder LUNA Chix Team continuing to inspire women mountain bikers at their clinics at the CU Boulder Research Park. Just yesterday, over 25 women showed up despite the downpour just an hour before the event. A local bike shop, Boulder Cycle Sport was on hand to do some quick adjustments to bikes and, of course, there was plenty of LUNA product to go around.
There’s still one clinic left, so don’t miss out! The event details are on the Boulder LUNA Chix local page, so you can find all you need to know there. Don’t forget a few dollars if you plan on attending as 100% of your contribution goes directly to the Breast Cancer Fund. So far, I plan on attending. I’m going to have to learn a few ‘advanced’ skills over the weekend since I found myself leading the advanced group last week. Can anyone teach me how to do a wheelie?

Best of luck to everyone racing this next weekend!
