Team LUNA Chix LA Cycling and the staff at Pasadena Cyclery hosted a fun evening of clinics for 20 participants on Tuesday, June 11. After leading weekly rides for the past 2 months, we decided to do some skills development work in shifting, hill climbing, and descending as these are the three skills on which most participants have reported wanting to improve.

Gran Fondo is an Italian term that more or less translates to “Big Ride.” Cyclists rode the streets of Pasadena for the 2nd Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia on Sunday, June 2, 2013. The Gran Fondo Giro d’Italia partnered this year with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the fight to end breast cancer.

LUNA Chix hosted a ride and clinic as part of the Sport Chalet Outdoor Expo in La Canada on May 18, 2013. The event was held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Olberz Park, which is located next to the La Cañada Sport Chalet.

LUNA Chix participated in the 7th annual Bike Week in Pasadena, aimed to promote bicycle culture. The week full of events was sponsored by the city’s Department of Transportation and Los Angeles Based bicycle advocacy organization Cyclists Inciting Change thru Live Exchange (C.I.C.L.E.).
