Tri Smart 101:  Get Schooled

Tri Smart 101: Get Schooled will be our inaugural supported century ride.  Hosted by Team Tri Smart, this event honors the memory of our friend and fellow triathlete Michelle Chaput. Proceeds from the ride will benefit the Breast Cancer Fund.

Routes of 25, 40, 60 and 101 miles along low-traffic roads will be marked and maps will be available. You can count on rest stops roughtly every 20 miles with beverages and snacks, as well as SAG support.
The ride starts and ends at:
Lincoln Way West High School
21701 S. Gougar Road
New Lenox, IL 60451

Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. (All century riders must be on the course no later than 7:30am.)

Registration:
Pre-registration for the ride is available online through Active.com through September 10th, and by mail.

Cost until 9/10/10:    $40
After that:              $50

About Michelle Chaput:

Michelle Chaput 1967-2009
Lost her life on June 3, 2009 after a 5 year battle of breast cancer.

Avid triathlete, completed a marathon, 2-500 mile AIDS rides, and Ironman Wisconsin.

She will always be remembered as a positive inspiration to all who knew her.

The Team LUNA Chix program brings together women interested in learning new sports, staying active and inspiring others to do the same.  Together the teams train, compete and support each other while also fundraising for the Breast Cancer Fund.
