New to cycling or simply want to improve your bike handling skills? Join Team LUNA Chix Chapel Hill for our annual Basic Bike Skills Clinic.
The clinic will cover a number of topics and is designed to work with each rider where she is, whether just starting out or wanting to improve her skills. Topics will include: drinking from a water bottle while riding; best use of gears; cornering skills; hand signals; clip in pedals; and an introduction to riding in a pace line. We may also include a short ride after the clinic.
Location: McDougle Middle School (900 Old Fayetteville Road, Carrboro). Meet in the parking lot closest to Hwy. 54.
Meet at 6 p.m.
This clinic is FREE, though we welcome donations to the Breast Cancer Fund.
INTERMEDIATE RIDE: Note that the Intermediate Ride will still be going out that day, as it is the same day as our scheduled weekly ride. Meet at 6 p.m. for the ride; wheels down at 6:15 p.m..
