Ski Bridger Bowl
Life in southwest Montana during January is full of snow. All you have to do is choose how you’d like to play in it. For Team LUNA Chix, we play on the snow on skis, boards, or the occasional sled. But today was a ladies group ski day at our local resort, Bridger Bowl. Warm sun and packed powder snow greeted us. We did a few runs on Pierre’s knob to get warmed up. Then we cruised South Bowl before embarking on the “mountain traverse”. This is where you start at one end of the mountain and gradually wind your way to the northern boundary via the Deer Park, North Bowl and Alpine lifts. We were even able to find some fresh tracks in the trees along north boundary. By 4:00 we shut down the Alpine lift and worked our way to the base via “Hully Gully”. This stretch is the most favored trail for small children – the natural half pipe provides the perfect speed check for some jump turns. Thanks to the ladies who joined us - Aga, Amy, Paola and Cindy. We look forward to seeing you out there again next month!
