Boston Cycling TEAM

In 2000, Boston’s Harpoon Brewery acquired Catamount Brewery in Windsor, Vt. and, since day one, there’s been a Brewery to Brewery ride each year. The 148-mile route runs from Boston northwest to the New Hampshire border where riders spend the majority of the ride in NH, until the last 4-5 miles, when cyclists cross over the Connecticut River into Vermont via an iconic New England covered bridge. I rode it alone (although really, how “alone” can you be on a “group” ride of 850) and broke up the monotony of all those miles by jumping from paceline to paceline. To prepare for the B2B, I ate obscene amounts of food the day before and paired some odd foods together at rest stops to fuel my ride. There was zero suffering, I’m happy to report, since I got all of that out of the way long before - decades in fact. Thanks to a few mean girls in elementary school, I’m a stronger bike rider now.
